Big Hero 6 is a computer-animated movie by Disney based on the Marvel Comics superhero team, Big Hero 6. This movie was released in 2014 and if you have not seen it already, I recommend you go watch it right now because it is absolutely amazing. It’s a great movie filled with fun, excitement, love, and laughter.
For those of you who have seen the movie, I’m sure you’re like me and wish you had a Baymax of your own so you could have big cuddles everyday! Now since I couldn’t get my hands on a full-sized blow up vinyl version of Baymax, my husband got me the next best thing that I had been eyeing for ages, which is this 18” tall Baxmax plush toy.
This 18” Baymax Plush can be found at your local Smyths Toy Store and is manufactured by Just Play, LLC. I have seen similar Baymax plushies at Toys R Us and the Disney Store that were just as cute, and I have seen Toys R Us carry Baxmax plushies that were even bigger than this 18” plushie.
What drew me to this particular plushie was that it was of a slightly higher quality. This Baxmax is incredibly soft and is very accurate in terms of his body’s proportions. What’s great about this Baymax is that he does have some articulation. There is a plastic ring in his shoulders so you can turn his arms 360 degrees, and pose his arms upwards, downwards, forward or backwards. This is a really nice touch because you can pose his arms outwards towards you as if he’s asking for a big giant hug 🙂
Now there are plenty of Baymax plushies out there and it’s just a matter of finding one that is the perfect size and the perfect level of detail. This Baymax plushie by Just Play, LLC was my favourite and I think he is absolutely adorable. Since he stands nice and tall at 18”, I just need to find some small Big Hero figures so I can have the whole gang on display.
