Alien Tsum Tsum Series 2 Mystery Stack Pack

This Toy Story Alien Tsum Tsum Mystery Stack Pack figure was released in 2016 as part of the Disney Series 2 Tsum Tsum Mystery Stack blind bags made by Jakks Pacific. Each mystery blind bag comes with one medium sized Disney Tsum Tsum character with stackable accessories. The accessories across the series can be hit and miss, but this one is definitely a hit for me.

Other characters in Series 2 include:-

  • Jiminy Cricket
  • Anger
  • Buzz Lightyear
  • Queen of Hearts
  • Ariel
  • Chip
  • Suzy
  • Cinderella
  • Hiro
  • Olaf
  • Sven
  • Angel
  • Eeyore
  • Mickey

Even though I started buying these stack pack blind bags later than most people, they were still readily available in many stores at an affordable price. The price ranged from $3.00 – $7.00 depending on the store and the time of purchase. The blind bags were available in stores such as Target, Walmart, ASDA, Smyths Toys Superstore, Amazon, Toys R US, Sainsbury’s, Hot Topic, and many other small toy retailers. If you are missing a figure, you can still find many figures on eBay for a reasonable price. You can also still find them on Amazon for a slightly higher price (generally in the region of $7.00 – $11.00)

Specifications and Price

The design of this Alien Tsum Tsum figure is relatively good and no doubt looks very cute. The display stand is what makes this figure look so cute.  When the figure is in the stand, the whole piece is just over 2 inches high. The figure itself is made of hard vinyl material and the accessories are made of plastic. Some assembly is required.  There are 5 separate pieces including the red base, the plastic “glass”, the grey claw piece, the pointed yellow and red top, and the medium sized Alien Tsum Tsum figure.

Assembly

The assembly is relatively easy. Place the claw piece into the hole at the top of the clear plastic dome. Next, slot the clear plastic piece into the red base. I find that this slots in quite easily but also slides out just as easily. This can be problematic because it often comes apart when the Alien figure is placed inside. Multiple attempts may be required. You may need to hold the base and top together firmly before placing the figure inside. Finally, the pointed red and yellow rocket top needs to be placed on top of the dome piece. Again, the pointed piece comes off quite easily since they do not click into each other.

Geekkie Opinion

Undoubtedly this Alien Tsum Tsum figure and display stand is a very cute display piece. It is one of my favourite figures across all the series. It works wonderfully as a stand-alone piece and I prefer to display it with my Toy Story Items rather than with my Tsum Tsum figures. This figure is something I would actively seek out to add to my collection – but only at the right price point. I personally would not spend any more than $10 for this figure. Overall for the price point, I certainly think it is a well designed blind bag figure. I have no regrets purchasing this figure and I am very happy to have it in my Toy Story collection.
