Lenny was the binoculars toy who appeared in the first Toy Story movie, Toy Story 2, and briefly in Toy Story 3 as a cameo. Lenny played a relatively significant role in the first and second movie as he always helped Andy’s toys get a better look at the action in Sid’s yard, the road, and the yard sale. There have been a number of different Lenny figure toys out in the market, but unfortunately there have not been many movie-accurate toys that are to scale. The most movie accurate version of Lenny available is the Disney on Ice Lenny, which is a Disney on Ice exclusive. This toy is actually is a pair of binoculars (though they do not magnify all that well). Unfortunately this toy does not actually wind up like the Lenny in the movie, but it does have a wind up knob for decorative purposes and movie accuracy. This toy has been proven to be quite rare, but considering its rarity, the prices tend to be a bit lower than some of the other equally rare or even less rare toys. I have seen him come up on Ebay for about $50.00 – $80.00, so if you find one at a reasonable price, it is worth grabbing. If you don’t want to spend a significant amount, but would still like a movie accurate version of the toy, the Burger King wind up Lenny toy proves to be a great alternative as I think he looks very accurate to the movie from the front and comes at a much lower cost (he also winds up too!).
