Butter Beer Cup Warner Bros Studio Tour London Harry Potter

Harry Potter Butter Beer Cup

I’ve said it before and I will say it again, there isn’t a Harry Potter fan in the world that who doesn’t dream about going to Hogwarts and embracing the world of witchcraft and wizardry. But until we get our acceptance letter to Hogwarts, the next best thing is the Warner Bros. Studio Tour in London where you can sit down and have your own butter beer!

If you are ever in the London area, I highly reccomend this studio tour because it is just heaven on earth for any Harry Potter fan. Amidst all the amazing sets, props, and attractions, one of my favourite parts of the tour was taking a break halfway through the tour to have some wonderful butter beer. While I do wish that the butter beer was served in a Hogs Head or Three Broomsticks atmosphere rather than a large cafe, the butter beer itself was absolutely wonderful.

There was an option to purchase the butter beer in a disposable cup or in a souvenir tankard for an extra fee. Being the collector that I am, I had to go for the souvenir tankard. The tankard is a clear plastic tankard with “BUTTERBEER” written on both sides. While it’s not the most movie accurate tankard, I think it makes for a really nice souvenir and would make a nice addition to any Harry Potter collection.

Based on the different responses, the butter beer itself seems to be a very hit and miss drink. It is incredibly sweet and sickly, which is great for some and revolting for others. I have a very, very sweet tooth so I actually thought it tasted quite nice. I thought it tasted like a mix of cream soda and cake mix. The “bubbling” cream on top was just the cherry on top as it was so sweet and delicious.

Whether you like cream soda or not, if you are ever in the London area and have the opportunity to take the Warner Bros. Studio Tour, you absolutely have to try the butter beer. If you’re a Harry Potter collector or fan, the souvenir cup might be the way to go as I think it makes for a really nice keepsake and looks great as part of any Harry Potter collection.

Cheers!
