Frozen Kinder Surprise Egg toys

Frozen Kinder Surprise Toys

What could be better than some delicious chocolate with a surprise toy inside? Youtube is filled with videos of people opening eggs with surprise toys inside, but Kinder has already done the job for us by filling a delicious chocolate egg with Frozen toys inside!

I’ve been eating Kinder Surprise eggs since I was a little kid and while it was always loads fun to find a random surprise toy inside to put together yourself, I absolutely love it when Kinder does a line of toys of characters we all know and love. I was incredibly excited when I saw these Frozen Kinder Surprise eggs in my local corner shop and it didn’t take me long to get the whole collection.

As I have said before, I love eating Kinder chocolate because it is absolutely delicious, but I never really went out of my way to collect all the usual Kinder Surprise toys because I never had any attachment to the toys and it be a never-ending collection. However, when we get a line of Kinder toys of characters we are familiar with, it’s nice to have a small collection to add to an existing collection.

This Frozen series of Kinder Surprise toys consists of 8 toys and includes: Sven, Grand Pabbie, Kristoff, young Anna, young Elsa, Olaf, grown-up Anna, and grown-up Elsa.

Sven

Sven Frozen Kinder Surprise Toy

First, we have Sven. Considering this is a toy that comes out of a chocolate egg, the toy is very detailed and well done. I am incredibly surprised at how detailed and intricate Sven’s antlers are and the same applies to his legs. Sven is sitting down and looks absolutely adorable because he looks like he’s waiting for you to give him some carrots for being good and well behaved. I think the toy is very well made and I don’t think I would change anything about this little guy.

Grand Pabbie

Next, we have Grand Pabbie. Grand Pabbie comes with a leafy base which has a lot of flower and leaf detailing which really adds to the toy. Again, I am surprised at the level of detail considering it is a toy out of a chocolate egg. Grand Pabbie has a big grin on his face and a long green cape which drapes over the green base. His ‘hair’ is very detailed, however there is a paint mishap on my Grand Pabbie’s face where there is a black dot on his grin. Grand Pabbie’s eyes could have been done a little bit better because they are only little black dots, but at the same time, expectations can only be so high for a toy that comes out of an egg. Considering the low cost of the toy, I think the toy is very well done.

Kristoff

Kristoff Frozen Kinder Surprise toy

I think this Kristoff toy was done beautifully. Kristoff’s passion is ice so of course this Kristoff toy is doing what he does best, picking ice. Kristoff is dressed in his winter gear with an ice pick in his hands, carving away at the ice. He comes with a clear blue ice base with a giant block of ice on the end. What’s really great is that Kristoff’s arms actually move up and down so you can make him pick away at the ice all day long. When I move his arms up and down all I can think of is the Frozen Heart song at the beginning of the movie, which just makes me smile and want to sing along  🙂

Young Anna

Young Anna Frozen Kinder Surprise Toy

One of the most memorable and repeated phrases from Frozen was the “Do you wanna build a snowman?” line spoken by the young and playful Anna, so of course a toy reference to the line had to be made. Here we have a young Anna with her little pigtails holding a snowball for the snowman’s body. Anna is attached to a white snow base, which has a jagged edge front that fits perfectly into the next toy, a young Anna to create a snowman building scene with the sisters. I think it’s really great that the two toys fit together to recreate the fun the two sisters had before Elsa’s struggles.

Young Elsa

Elsa and Anna Kinder Surprise Toy

Even as a child Elsa was the more responsible and serious sister, but even Elsa could not resist the fun of staying up late to build a snowman. This Elsa toy is a young Elsa kneeling down next to the base of the soon-to-be Olaf, ready for the next ball of snow, which is in Anna’s hands. While the detailing is not fantastic on this toy, I think it is still well done considering it is a Kinder Surprise toy and it’s clear that it’s Elsa with her blue night gown and braided blonde hair. As I said previously, I think it’s really sweet that the young Elsa and young Anna toys connect together to recreate the fun the two sisters had before Elsa’s struggles with her power began.

Olaf

Olaf Frozen Kinder Surprise toy“Hi, I’m Olaf and I like warm hugs”. Olaf was an incredibly funny and lovable character in the movie and a lot of the jokes came from the fact that Olaf didn’t always stay in once piece. Well, this Olaf toy shares the same struggles as the Olaf in the movie because he too has been impaled by a white plastic stick in the middle of his body. Olaf’s head, body, and base all move up and down on the stick so that you can twist and turn Olaf’s head, body, and base any way you like. Like Sven, I am incredibly impressed with the level of detail and accuracy of this Olaf toy. I could not possibly ask for any more of a Kinder Surprise toy.

Anna

Anna Frozen Kinder Surprise Toy

Here we have Anna doing what she does best, having fun. She’s skating with her long braid blowing in the wind and her leg up in the air. This Anna toy comes with a blue skirt, which as you can see, is very poofy. You may not be able to see very well in the photo, but Anna comes with a clear blue ice base, very similar to Kristoff’s. While the detailing of the face may not be fantastic, I think the big poofy skiry is a nice fun touch to this toy. Unfortunately if the skirt is creased the wrong way in the capsule, it may be stuck in a position which reveals Anna’s legs which can be a bit awkward, but if you position her right, this can be avoided. It may just take a little tweaking.

Elsa

Elsa Kinder Surprise ToyLast, but definitely not least, is Elsa. This is definitely my favourite toy in this collection. Elsa is positioned in a powerful stance where she looks like she’s about to blast you with her powers. I’m very glad she’s posed in a powerful stance where she embraces her powers. What I love about this toy is the train of her dress, which is more of a cape on this toy. Elsa comes with a long snowflake printed cloth for the train of her dress. This is placed on over Elsa’s head and flows behind her dress. I do wish this piece fit between her head and shoulders rather than just sliding on over her chest, but in any event, I think it adds a lot to the toy, especially when it is on display at a distance. Again, considering this toy has come from a toy egg, I think it is very well done.

I think it’s really nice when Kinder Surprise creates little collections of toys from movies we all know and love. Considering these toys are toys coming out of a chocolate egg, they are incredibly detailed and well done. You can’t really ask for much more. If you’re looking for a tasty treat and love Frozen, I reccomend picking up a Frozen Kinder Surprise egg while they’re still around. I have happily included these toys in my toy collection and I look forward to the next Kinder Surprise collection so I can buy some more chocolate!
