By They’re Pinky and the Brain…They’re Pinky and the Brain…One is a genius, the other’s insane!
Every 90s kid will remember this amazing Warner Bros Studios cartoon that was a recurring segment on Animaniacs. This unlikely duo held at Acme Labs made nightly attempts to take over the world, obviously with little success. The announcement of the release of this duo was very exciting for many 90s kids, including myself. I just had to have these Pops right away.
Pinky (159) and The Brain (160) are part of the Funko Pop Animation Series which includes only Pinky and the Brain. There is a separate Animaniacs series, which be a great companion series to this mini series.
Description
✧ Both Pinky and the Brain are very simple Pops. They don’t have very much detailing, but this is because the cartoons were very simple. The important thing is that they have big heads, big ears, and are accurate to the cartoon.
✧ Both Pinky and The Brain’s tails were sculpted perfectly. Pinky’s tail is long and droopy and The Brain’s tail is jagged like lightning bolt just as they were in the cartoon.
✧ Pinky has two teeth sticking out like he did in the cartoon and Brain has his hands clasped behind his back like he’s up to no good.
Rarity
Both of these Pops are common and are relatively easy to find. You can find them in your local comic book store, your local toy shop, Pop in a Box, Forbidden Planet, etc. I purchased Pinky from Forbidden Planet and The Brain from Smyths. As they are common Pops that are relatively easy to find, I would not be spending any more than you would a normal, easy to find Funko Pop.
Play or Display?
These Pinky and The Brain Funko Pops are definitely for an older crowd who grew up watching the cartoon. While they may be simple Funko Pops, they look absolutely great. Any nostalgic 90s baby would appreciate them. Both of these Pops stand very easily and are perfect for display amongst your Pop collection. I would be careful not to handle the Pops too much are they are made of white vinyl, which gets dirty very easily.
