Fisher Price 1962 Queen Buzzy Bee

This vintage wooden pull toy may not look like much when you think about the toys of today that have cameras, interact with us, and can be controlled via Bluetooth, but if you’re a die-hard Toy Story fan, this toy is essential for a complete collection.

This 1962 Fisher Price Queen Buzzy Bee pull toy is a wooden cut bee with paper lithographs all around and ‘Queen Buzzy Bee’ written on the bee’s back. Queen Buzzy Bee has a white plastic crown nailed to her head just behind her antennas, which are two springs with red plastic beads on the end. Queen Buzzy Bee has two blue plastic wheels with white flowers painted on and two red plastic “wings” that spin together and make a cracking noise when she is pulled along a flat surface by her yellow plastic string. This cracking noise is of course meant be her buzzing when she flies around doing bee things. The wings spin very well and spin surprisingly fast.

Now the really die-hard Toy Story fans, who were really paying attention during Toy Story 3, will have noticed that Queen Buzzy Bee makes an appearance when Woody and the rest of Andy’s toys first arrive at Sunnyside, and was part of the new toy celebration.
