Beauty and the Beast mirror

Beauty and the Beast Mirror DIY

While I really enjoyed the live action version of Beauty and the Beast, nothing beats the artwork from the original animated film. The stained glass artwork at the beginning of the animated film in particular is absolutely stunning and makes for great art pieces. My favourite is the stained glass artwork of the old beggar woman holding up the enchanted rose, which I knew I had to incorporate into my collection somehow. It was when an old roommate of mine wanted to throw away her beautiful hand mirror that I knew exactly how I was going to incorporate that artwork into my collection.

It all started with a hand mirror which was actually missing the mirror because it shattered…

First I printed out the stained glass rose artwork. Next I pulled off the back piece to the hand mirror and placed it on the rose artwork to trace the exact size I needed to put into the mirror. Then I cut out what I traced and placed it into mirror frame. I then put the back piece back onto the mirror and secured it in place. This took me no time at all and I’m really happy with the way it looks.

Although my mirror may not be the fanciest thing in the world, I think it looks really cute and fits in well amongst my Beauty and the Beast collectibles.

These days everyone is chasing that rare collectible no one can get their hands on, but sometimes you just need to be a little creative and crafty. Sometimes you just need to look around your home for inspiration. Anyone can find ways to bring the magic of Disney home if you just think outside the box and be creative! 🙂
