By Mr. Mike is a tape recorder toy with a microphone that Woody uses in the staff meeting at the beginning of the first movie, and also serves as a karaoke machine for Wheezy in the second Toy Story movie. I think most 80s and 90s kids will remember having some sort of tape recorder toy and walking around pretending to be a reporter. Although there were many toys of this kind, Playskool did create a Talking Mr. Mike Voice Changer toy, which are getting harder and harder to come by nowadays. At the time of this post, there are a few floating around on eBay so if you need Mike to complete your collection, you better snatch him up while you can. A new Mr. Mike in the box goes for approximately $300.00 – $400.00, but a used one can be purchased for approximately $100.00 or less. I would go for a good condition, used Mike as it’s a toy you would want to have out on display for a more authentic looking Toy Story collection. However if you happen to have one in the box, do not open it as you could be sitting on a gold mine!
