By Unfortunately for Janie, Andy was not her owner. Janie was a doll that belonged to Hannah, Sid’s sister, before Sid decided to steal the doll to play doctor and perform an “operation”, where he pulled off her head and attached a head of the Pterodactyl. Luckily Sid’s toys were used to his behaviour and managed to attach Janie’s head back to her body. Some choose not to collect Sid’s toys, while some do as she was one of the original Toy Story movie toys. Medicom released a Janie doll, which included a removable Janie head and Pterodactyl head to make it as accurate to the movie as possible, and also just in case you decided you want to play doctor too. As this was a Medicom toy, it was released in Japan and has become quite rare. It does pop up on eBay from time to time at a cost of approximately $350.00. This toy is not cheap, but it is the most movie accurate Janie for those who want a complete Toy Story toy collection.
