Albus Dumbledore was Hogwart’s incredibly wise headmaster and one of the most lovable characters at Hogwarts. I’m sure there isn’t a single Harry Potter fan out there who wouldn’t love to have a chance to step into his office and have a chat with him so you could be inspired to take on the world. (The next best thing is to take a trip to Warner Bros. Studio in London so you can actually see his office in person!)
Albus Dumbledore (04) is part of the Funko Pop! Harry Potter series, which includes Harry Potter (01), Ron Weasley (02), Hermoine Granger (03), Severus Snape (05), Lord Voldemort (06), and Rubeus Hagrid (07).
Albus Dumbledore of course has the traditional black Pop! eyes covered by some golden glasses. The glasses are a really nice touch because they’re actually golden painted glasses with clear plastic vinyl. Do be careful when you’re picking out your Pop! as some of the Dumbledores will have spots of golden paint on his glasses. Mine have a minor spot, but nothing too noticeable.
What’s really nice about this Pop! is that it looks very different to most Funko Pops. Because Albus has his long beard, his face looks very different to most Pops, which usually have very similar looking faces no matter what series they’re from. Dumbledore’s beard is nice and long and is incredibly textured and detailed. Similarly, his long grey hair is also very textured and detailed.
Another element that makes this Pop really stand out is his clothing. Dumbledore’s robe is a lovely maroon colour and is incredibly detailed. His hat and his robe both have detailed patterning all over and it really adds to the magic of this Pop. The cherry on top to this Pop are the little golden stars painted onto his hat. The stars are golden and shiny and make this Pop look absolutely wonderful and magical.
I know when it comes to display of Pops, people are very particular about whether they keep their Pops in the box or out of the box. I think it all comes down to personal preference, and although I’m normally a pro-box kind of girl, I think this Pop is just too nice to keep in the box. I think if you have a nice set of Harry Potter books on your bookshelf, this Pop would look absolutely stunning displayed out of his box next to your Harry Potter books and other Harry Potter toys/memorabilia. I know mine will be heading to my bookshelf right away.
If you’re a Harry Potter fan, whether it be the books, the movies, or both, this is a definite must have. I think this is a definite must have even if you’re not into collecting Funko Pops because it is so well made and magical.
