By As I have said before, I was always a Nintendo girl growing up and I still am. When I was younger, Peach was always my go to character but as the years went by, I started leaning more and more towards Yoshi and now I cannot imagine playing any other character when I play my favourites such as Mario Party and Mario Kart. Yoshi! Yoshi! all the way!
I desperately wanted a Yoshi Amiibo for Christmas, but unfortunately they were all sold out during the holidays 🙁 When I was in Toys R Us one weekend during one of my usual toy hunts, I spotted this Super Mario Yoshi and I knew I had to have it.
Now there are two different Yoshi Amiibos to choose from, the Super Mario Yoshi Amiibo or the Super Smash Bros. Yoshi Amiibo. Both Yoshi’s are adorable and I think it all comes down to personal preference. The Super Mario Yoshi Amiibo is larger, more vibrant, and is in a happy neutral standing position. The Super Smash Bros. Yoshi Amiibo is in a running, fighting position and the colours are a little darker because of its battle theme. Although I played a lot of Super Smash Bros. growing up, I chose to go with this Super Mario Yoshi because I don’t take my Amiibos out of the box and I thought this Yoshi was perfect for display. It’s big, it’s vibrant, and the artwork on the packaging is perfect for display purposes. There is a big Yoshi image on the right side of the packaging and a big “Yoshi” label running vertically on the left side.
Although I keep Amiibos for display purposes, this Super Mario Yoshi Amiibo can be used in the Super Mario game and in Mario Party 10 to earn items, level up, and get a special Yoshi board and counter!
If you love Yoshi, there is no doubt that you will love this Amiibo. This Amiibo would be great fun for Super Mario and Mario Party 10, or to display in your toy collection or game room!
