By I have a lot of collections on the go, but my most prized collection is definitely my Toy Story collection. It is my lifelong mission to collect the most movie accurate version of every toy in the Toy Story trilogy, and to also collect every adorable Toy Story toy I find along the way.
I had been eyeing this fantastically adorable Aliens Tsum Tsum Rocket Set on eBay for a while as they used to be a Japan Disney Store exclusive, but they were always just too expensive when you factored in shipping costs 😥 . When I saw this set was released in my local Disney Store, I picked them up immediately because my collection could not be complete without it.
This set comes with a plush red and blue rocket which contains three round pockets for your three Alien Tsum Tsums. Like the Tsum Tsums themselves, the rocket is incredibly soft and contains a partial bean filling on the bottom. The rocket has a flat base so you can lay the rocket down horizontally or vertically depending on your personal preference. I personally prefer to stand it up vertically because I think it looks adorable with the Aliens heads sticking out, looking like they’re about to blast off into space.
The three Aliens that come with this set are are three different Alien Tsum Tsums, each with a different facial expression. The first Alien at the top/front of the rocket does not have any facial expression at all. There is no mouth embroidered on, which I thought was a bit strange. I suppose he’s supposed to have a neutral expression, but it would have been nice if at the very least a straight line was embroidered on. In the middle, we have an Alien smiling with his mouth in an “o” shape. Im sure he’s trying to say “oooooooo” like the Aliens we all know and love in the movie. Finally at the bottom/back of the rocket, we have an Alien with a big smile on his face.
All the Aliens look adorable and are all tagged on to the rocket right next to the round pockets. I think it’s fantastic the Aliens were tagged on because if they weren’t, the Aliens would likely get mixed up in the store and go missing, which would mean not everyone would get the three different expressions included in this set. Once you have purchased this set, you of course can cut the tags and remove the aliens and add other Tsum Tsums for a ride in space as well 😛 When displaying your Aliens in the rocket, be sure to push the white cotton tags in first so they do not stick out of the pocket.
I have been waiting for quite some time to get my hands on this Aliens Tsum Tsum Rocket Set and it definitely did not disappoint. It is fantastically soft, adorable, and makes for an excellent display piece even if you’re not a die-hard Toy Story fan. Admittedly the set is a tad expensive at £15.95 here in the UK or $26.95 US, but this is far cheaper than the prices on eBay when it was a Japan Disney Store exclusive. I think this is a fantastic set for people young and old, and if you’d like to grab one, check out your local Disney Store or the online Disney Store.
